CoG Non-GCEA Unit Negotiations

Although our GCEA negotiations have wrapped up, other bargaining groups have been at the table finalizing their contracts. During the June 4th council meeting, council approved the 3-Year MOU for Sworn Police Managers to take effect July 1st, which included COLAs of: 4% in year one, 5% in year two and 5% in the final year, for a total of 14%.
 
They also approved the GPOA 3-Year contract to take effect July 1st, which included COLAs of: 4.5% in year one, 5.5% in year two, and 4% in year three, for a total of 14%.
 
As a reminder, the GCEA year one COLA (6.5%) went into effect one month early, because of that, all of us saw those raises in our last paycheck; contract year two and three will see a 4% bump each year, for a total of 14.5%. The new medical rates started June 1st of this month, and we should see those savings on the last paycheck of this month. All other benefits of the contract, including the 6-step salary structure, paid bonding leave, increased boot allowance, and additional incentives, will start on July 1st, 2024.
